Vicar’s Welcome

Welcome to St. James’! We’re a lively, inclusive parish in the heart of the historic district of Long Beach, New York. St. James’ is a small family with a big heart. Our doors are open to all!

Founded in 1880, St. James’ has stood at its present location on the corner of West Penn Street and Magnolia Boulevard for over 70 years. It is only steps to what might be the most beautiful white-sand beach and ocean boardwalk on Long Island. We are located next door to the Long Beach Historical Society, and we take pride that our building and gardens have been officially recognized by the City of Long Beach as an historic landmark.

St. James’ is a place where you can grow in the knowledge and love of God and experience the life-changing presence of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament.
